Nestled in the picturesque Portage Lakes area of Akron, Ohio, our winery proved to be the perfect backdrop for viewing the rare celestial event.

The event saw an enthusiastic turnout, with guests eager to experience the solar eclipse in a unique setting. Upon arrival, attendees were equipped with special viewing glasses and welcomed with a glass of our premium Vine 93 wine, setting the tone for a luxurious afternoon under the cosmos. Thanks to Waterloo Catering, the food was nothing short of spectacular, complementing the stellar experience with an array of delicious offerings.

Adding to the ambiance, local favorite Jim Ballard provided live music, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. The skies above Akron provided a pristine backdrop, offering a flawless view of the eclipse—an awe-inspiring spectacle that elevated this gathering to a once-in-a-lifetime event. In conjunction with the eclipse viewing, our Open House took place in the Main House on April 11th, an event we proudly host on the second Thursday of each month. Guests were treated to a comprehensive menu and had the chance to explore our facilities, making it the perfect occasion for those considering our venue for future events.
